Returns & Refund Policy

This policy explains how Lamperez, LLC d/b/a Learning How To Breathe Again handles returns, refunds, replacements, exchanges, cancellations, damaged or incorrect items, and digital purchases made through LearningHowToBreatheAgain.com.

1. General Policy

We want customers to receive the products they ordered in acceptable condition. This policy establishes the procedures and conditions that apply to return requests, refunds, replacements, exchanges, cancellations, damaged or defective products, incorrect orders, and digital purchases.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

2. Return Authorization Is Required

All physical returns must be authorized before shipment. Customers should not mail books, apparel, phone cases, or other merchandise back to us unless written return authorization and return instructions have been provided.

To request authorization, use our Contact & Media Inquiries page and select Support, or email Info@learninghowtobreatheagain.com .

Please include your full name, order number, email address used for the purchase, the item involved, and the reason for the return request.

3. Physical Book Returns

Physical books purchased through LearningHowToBreatheAgain.com may be eligible for return within 30 days after delivery.

To qualify for a voluntary return, the book must be unused, undamaged, and in substantially the same condition in which it was received.

Unless the return resulted from our error, a qualifying defect, damage in transit, or an incorrect shipment, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping an approved voluntary book return back to us.

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable for voluntary returns unless reimbursement is required by applicable law.

4. Made-to-Order Apparel and Accessories

Apparel, phone cases, and other print-on-demand merchandise are produced specifically after an order is placed. These products do not carry an automatic right of return for buyer preference, incorrect size selection, incorrect color selection, incorrect phone-model selection, or a change of mind.

However, Learning How To Breathe Again may approve a return of made-to-order merchandise on a case-by-case basis when the customer follows the authorization process in this policy.

A customer requesting a return of made-to-order merchandise must contact Support within 30 days after delivery and receive written authorization before the item is mailed.

5. Prepaid Return Labels for Approved Made-to-Order Returns

If a return of made-to-order apparel or accessories is approved, Learning How To Breathe Again will provide a prepaid return shipping label and return instructions.

The customer will not be responsible for the authorized return-shipping cost when the provided return label is used as instructed.

The customer must use the authorized label and follow the provided return instructions. Merchandise sent without prior authorization, sent using a different destination, or sent without following the approved return process may be refused and may not qualify for a refund.

6. Approved Return Address

Unless different written instructions are provided as part of a specific authorization, approved physical returns should be sent to:

Derick Lamperez
P.O. Box 72
Cade, LA 70519

Customers should not send merchandise directly to a manufacturer, Printify, a print provider, Shopify, or another third-party fulfillment partner unless we specifically instruct them to do so in writing.

7. Condition of Approved Made-to-Order Returns

Unless the claim involves a confirmed defect, damage, misprint, or fulfillment error, approved made-to-order merchandise should be returned unworn, unused, unwashed, unaltered, and in substantially the same condition in which it was received.

Approval to send an item back does not by itself guarantee a refund. Returned merchandise may be inspected after receipt before a final refund decision is issued.

Items showing substantial wear, washing, alteration, misuse, customer-caused damage, missing components, or other conditions inconsistent with the approved return may be denied a refund or may receive a reduced refund where permitted by law.

8. Damaged, Defective, Misprinted, or Incorrect Items

If an item arrives damaged, contains a manufacturing defect or misprint, or is materially different from the product or variant shown on the confirmed order, contact Support as soon as possible and no later than 30 days after delivery.

Customers should provide the order number, a description of the problem, and clear photographs or video showing the item and the issue. When shipping damage is involved, photographs of the packaging may also be requested.

Depending on the facts of the claim and the product involved, an approved resolution may include a replacement, reprint, partial refund, full refund, or another appropriate remedy.

Customers should retain the affected item and its packaging until we confirm that documentation is complete and provide further instructions.

9. When a Physical Return May Not Be Required

In certain cases involving confirmed damage, defects, misprints, or fulfillment errors, a physical return may not be necessary.

Our fulfillment provider may be able to resolve a qualifying claim using photographs, video, order records, or other documentation. Customers should not mail an affected item unless they have been instructed to do so.

10. Size, Color, Phone Model, and Selection Errors

Customers are responsible for carefully reviewing product selections, sizes, colors, styles, phone models, quantities, and other product options before purchase.

If the correct product and selected variant are delivered as ordered, a return is not automatically guaranteed solely because the customer later prefers another size, color, model, or product.

A customer may still request a return within 30 days under the made-to-order authorization process. If such a return is approved, we will provide a prepaid return label and instructions.

If the delivered product does not match the variant shown on the confirmed order, the matter will be treated as an incorrect-order claim rather than a customer selection error.

11. Signed, Personalized, and Limited-Release Products

Signed books, personalized products, custom products, and products expressly identified as final sale or limited release are generally non-returnable unless they arrive damaged, defective, incorrect, or a return or refund is otherwise required by applicable law.

12. Digital Products and eBooks

Because digital products are delivered electronically and cannot practically be returned after access has been provided, eBooks and other downloadable digital content are generally final sale and non-refundable after delivery, access, or download.

If a customer cannot access a purchased digital product because of a technical or delivery problem, contact Support so that we can attempt to correct the issue.

This section does not eliminate any refund right that is required by applicable law.

13. Return Shipping Costs

For an approved voluntary return of an eligible physical book, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping unless the return resulted from our error, qualifying damage, a defect, or an incorrect shipment.

For an approved return of made-to-order apparel or accessories, Learning How To Breathe Again will provide a prepaid return label, including when we voluntarily approve a preference-based return.

If a physical return is required for an item that was damaged, defective, misprinted, or incorrectly fulfilled, we will provide or arrange the applicable return-shipping method.

14. Order Cancellations

Customers should contact us immediately if they need to request cancellation. Cancellation requests are not guaranteed.

Physical book orders may generally be canceled only before they enter processing or shipment preparation.

Made-to-order merchandise may generally be canceled only before production or fulfillment begins. Once a print-on-demand item has entered production, cancellation may no longer be possible because the item is already being manufactured specifically for the order.

Digital purchases generally cannot be canceled after the digital content has been delivered or made accessible.

If a cancellation is successfully completed, the applicable refund will be issued to the original payment method.

15. Incorrect Shipping Addresses and Failed Delivery

An incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by the customer is not considered a defective-product or fulfillment claim.

As explained in our Shipping Policy, if an order must be shipped again because the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer is responsible for applicable reshipping charges.

A refund or replacement is not guaranteed when delivery failure resulted from inaccurate customer-provided information, subject to any rights available under applicable law.

16. Refund Method

Approved monetary refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

We do not ordinarily issue refunds through a different payment method solely at the customer’s request.

17. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund has been approved and issued by us, the customer’s bank, card issuer, Shopify payment processor, or other financial institution may require additional time to post the credit.

Customers should generally allow approximately 5–10 business days for the financial institution to complete processing after the refund has been issued. This timeframe is an estimate and is not a guarantee of the posting date.

18. Refunds of Original Shipping Charges

Original shipping charges are generally non-refundable when a customer voluntarily returns an otherwise correctly fulfilled order.

Where a refund results from our error, a qualifying incorrect shipment, qualifying defect, qualifying transit damage, or another circumstance for which reimbursement is appropriate or legally required, applicable original shipping charges may also be refunded.

19. Fraud, Abuse, and Misuse

To the extent permitted by law, we reserve the right to investigate or decline claims that show credible evidence of fraud, misuse, intentional damage, materially false information, abusive return behavior, or attempts to obtain duplicate refunds or replacements for the same issue.

This section will not be used to deny legitimate consumer rights or valid claims.

20. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Returns & Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our products, fulfillment methods, business practices, or applicable requirements.

The version published on this website and identified by the “Last Updated” date will be the current version.
